lets not get too dramatic about surviving, her husband is a lawyer and i am sure she made decent $$$ at bz...they were really cold in canning her like that... i liked her myself, i hope they lose rating points cuz of this move

Hey Fitz, this is refreshing. There's no tie in to gambling or booze like 90% of your articles.

Good story. It's also good to see a story about a modern educated woman placing motherhood in high esteem. There is no more important a role as motherhood and raising well balanced kids for the future of our nation.

Thanks, Alice. I was laid off last year from a job I had for almost 20 years. I felt like a nobody. Your husband's line, 'it's not what you did, it's who you are' made me cry - I am somebody!

I nice woman and I'm glad she's landing on her emotional feet, but Fitz, your story is going to really hurt the moms out there who have lost their jobs, and don't have a 20 year lucrative career behind them, and a husband in a prosperous profession, and thus just can't afford the luxury of perspective Alice can. A real feel good story would be one of many women in that situation hitting the lottery, or just getting a good paying job. By and large, women in Massachusetts aren't working because they choose to, but because they have to. Let's not forget that, and God Bless them......
