Winner: Suffolk University pollster David Paleologos declared a “Brown-out” a full five days before Tuesday’s election as his final poll on the race showed Brown at 50 percent and Coakley at 46. The final numbers: 52-47. Not bad, not bad at all.

Loser: A Boston Globe poll, nine days before the election, stated that Coakley, “buoyed by her durable statewide popularity, enjoys a solid, 15-percentage-point lead.” That poll allegedly surveyed “554 randomly selected likely voters.” We’re guessing most of them were in the Morrissey Boulevard cafeteria.
