President Obama’s final push for health-care reform is being met with no immediate guarantees, even from Democratic House members in bluest state Massachusetts.

“I want to vote for health-care reform,” said U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Somerville). “I think I can, but I’m not there yet.”

But, when all is said and done, when Obama tells them to vote for the bill, no matter what is contains or doesn't contain, they will fall in and march right over the cliff. Then, just to prove what a scurious band of slime balls they are, not ONE of them will demand that the provisions of the bill apply equally to them and their families. Not ONE!

I will tell them don't be so afraid. We will vote for all of you anyway. Don't be so afraid of Scott Brown's election. It was just a "fluke". hard to explain & I don't think will happen again in a real election. A special election is not enough time to really examine the candidates or get enough good candidates involved well funded. That was a very poor choice to change that vacancy law to the present one. appointing someone until the next election & then having a full election cycle to find the best candidates makes much more sense. The Democrats could have gotten someone much better than Coakley as hardly anyone really like her.

What was it that Mike Capuano said after the primary about "that will be the day we send a Republican to the Senate" ?

What a bunch of cowards. All of a sudden Capuano and Democrats are backpeddling. They weren't saying they wanted to review health care before. Of course that was before the people voted for Scott Brown.

I thought Boston/Massachusetts was a breeding ground for brain power. Well, the voters showed it when they gave TMK's "seat" to a Republican, who's mantra was a "no" vote on the HC Bill. Did our present politicians miss that message? Did they skip that class on representation? Hey, all you pols who are in doubt about your vote on this Bill, if you care more about your Party than your constituents, we'll remember that in November. And every other election day.

So far are reps have expressd concerns about:

Proposed funding cuts for hospitals that serve large populations of uninsured patients!!

A plan that could cost the state billions by shifting the authority to set Medicare policies from Congress to a presidential board!

U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-South Boston) said, “The Senate bill is a terrible bill. They’ve stripped all the reform out of it!

The Senate bill does not do enough to contain health insurance costs for families and small businesses!!

Is this the kind of health reform anyone is looking for????!!!!

This bill can not be allowed to pass!!!!

GEE health care package.. I thought it was a tax increase.. Pay 3000 dollars even if you make as little as 42,000 dollars.. gee that with the 3,000 property tax.. with the 3,000 in social security .. along with the 1,500 state tax..that equals 11,500 dolars in taxes.. and that doesn't include Gas sales Fica and all other pretty soon a family man will; need 3 jobs to feed and cloth his family.. I say when we get to that tipping point...

Run around naked and screamm I want my Cocco puffs...When you are arrested tell them you hear voices.. a.. then you go down to the local SSI office file a claim .. Actually have a family member file for you and collect.. why bother paying any more.. pretty soon either you will be working your tail off and living on 20% of your take.. or you can sit at home and let the goverment pay you 20% of your take What is the difference....
